Artist-in-Residence: Paco Marcial

Paco Marcial studied painting at the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, and passed through the Jan van Eyck Akademie in Maastricht, Netherlands. Paco won the National Painting Award through his work with Taller Documantación Visual collective.

Paco later moved to Japan where he worked for curator F. Nanjo. It was in Japan that he met the artist Jason Rhoades and began a friendship that led him to coordinate his studio in Los Angeles. After traveling the world he finally realized that he was a Sculptor.

In 2008 he founded the Scuderia Marchal in Modena Italy, over the mythical Preda Ringadora in front of the Palazzo Comunale. That same year, Paco relocated to Berlin, and then moved to New York City. Since then the Scuderia Marchal has sought to consolidate among the Champions.
